VALERIAN SWING was formed in Correggio (Italy), a few years ago. VS are an instrumental band with occasional vocals, always driven by an eclectic and experimental musical vision.
They released a 4 tracks Ep in 2007 and one year after the debut album: ”Draining Planning For Ears Reflectors”, released by Risingworks and distributed worldwide by Self/Code7/Plastic Head.
With the first full-length they came up with 40 minutes of incredible and devasting celebral music experience. The trio found their personal approach to songwriting with a wise blend of musical genres including hardcore, indie, post rock, jazz, progressive and electronics; using multiple guitar loops, fast and meticulous stop and go, complex polyrhytmic psychedelia.
”Draining Planning for Ears Reflectors” was released and immediately received a lot of attention from the worldwide media as well as the audience. After the album release, the band toured for about a year doing more than 150 shows in Italy, Europe and USA upon release.
The NEW RECORD will be release worldwide on April 12th by Magic Bullet Records.
“A Sailor Lost Around The Earth” was recorded and produced by Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Botch, ISIS, Minus The Bear) at Red Room in Seattle, WA.
Guest appearance in their new record is the internationally acclaimed trombonist Gianluca Petrella.
SubSuburban Recording Company take care of the vinyl release which included a 7” with special remixes from Simon Scott (former Slowdive) and Isan.
